When To Say "I Love You"

The “I love you”

Are you wondering if there is a right time to tell your partner "I love you"? Well there is a right time and a bad time to tell "I love you".

After going out on a few dates with someone that you really like and enjoy being with, you will more than likely feel like you are falling in love with this person. Sometimes this happens within days or weeks; for some people this might not happen for months.

Regardless of when you start to feel like you love the other person, there are a few things that you should consider before you say the big words “I love you.”

You want to say it only if you truly believe that it is true, you don’t want to mislead the other person if you don’t actually mean it.

Say it because you have been thinking about it for a long time and want to let it out and let the other person hear those words from you.

Make sure that you pick an appropriate time to say those words, pick the right moment to make it more meaningful to you, to show that you truly mean what you are saying.

Say it when the two of you are alone

Don’t say it if you don’t know how the other person will respond. If the two of you are falling in love, there will of been some signs that the other person is really falling for you also.

Don’t say it if you are not sure about where the relationship is headed.

Don’t say it too early in the relationship when you’ve just barely met the person. Infatuation is very strong and a person can feel a strong urge to tell the other person "I love you" or other serious expressions of feelings very soon in the relationship. I have seen this scare off a person in a relationship.

Don’t just say it to get the other person to sleep with you.

Don’t say it if you don’t really mean it, just because the other person said it to you.

Don’t say it if you are just hoping to hear it from the other person.

Telling another person that you love them is a big deal for most people. Playing with someone's emotion doesn’t pay off in the long run, in fact, it may even hurt your relationship. Make sure that you are saying it because you truly feel it and know that the other person feels very strong feelings for you.

Falling in love is a wonderful experience, don't be afraid but take your time and use your head.
